Message from the Chair and Interim Executive Director

January has so far been a very busy month for the dotMobi Advisory Group (MAG). We have focused our efforts in three key areas: membership recruitment; working group and task force activities; and organizing our inaugural MAG 2007 Summit.

As we move forward into 2007 and with over 360,000 .mobi domains now registered, the MAG’s key role in dotMobi, Policy Advisory Board and .mobi domain space activities will provide our members with increased policy, product and market development insights and opportunities. We have negotiated programs for MAG Members only access to key dotMobi executives as well as exclusive previews to dotMobi product, service and policy roadmap initiatives. Additionally, by leveraging MAG membership, leading companies can now join their global peers to initiate new MAG Working Group programs and on line discussion forums tailored to better understand global policy issues and commercialisation efforts for Content, Messaging, Commerce, Advertising, Search and more on .mobi domains.

Joining the MAG in its work are new members Carlson Marketing, Go Daddy, Bango, Telenor, Firstserver, ooober, CT Kirkpatrick and Telecom Italia Mobile. As the MAG continues its membership recruitment efforts we invite you to contact us to find out more on how you can be actively part of setting the 2007 MAG Agenda, and about participating in our first annual MAG 2007 Summit being held at the 3GSM World Congress in Barcelona.
